Most experts say that the best time to use a moisturizer is in the morning (right after your bath) and the evening (right after your last hilamos) – just when your skin has been towel-dried.
Most moisturizers contain ingredients that “lock-in” moisture in the skin. The water absorbed by your skin during washing is probably the best form of moisture you’d wanna lock in.
Moisturizing your skin offers a myriad of benefits that will make you happy. Count in:
1.) It prevents dry skin (duh?)
2.) It prevents winkles (yay!)
3.) It promotes cell regeneration and, for some products, exfoliation (good, good.)
4.) In principle, moisturizing you skin should prevent it from getting too oily, therefore reducing the causes of pimple breakouts 😛
5.) Some moisturizers come with Sun protection, skin lightening, skin toning and skin rejuvenating effects, to mention a few. All good stuff.
If you do find yourself in the middle of a hot, stressful day, you might want to run to the restroom and give your face a cool splash. This helps wash away ugghs, refreshes you and your mind, and most importantly, it remoisturizes you. If you have a moisturizer on hand, reapply.
IMPORTANT: Put on moisturizer on clean skin only.
ST. IVES TIMELESS SKIN COLLAGEN ELLASTIN FACIAL MOISTURIZER
I’ve always liked St. Ives products. They’re good and affordable.
I got this jar for about P225.00, and I’m looking at it lasting about 6 months.
My mom used to have this Collagen Elastin formula (I don’t know exactly what this is, but I read Collagen and Elastin are natural in, and good for the skin :-P)
What I like about this product is that it’s light, non-greasy and it smells good. It feels clean.
I’m wondering if I should put it in the fridge…
FOR THE GENTLEMEN…
THE BODY SHOP FOR MEN MACA ROOT FACE PROTECTOR
I’ve always been curious about this product hanging at Macho Mucho.
Interesting note on the Maca Root. I have no idea what it is, but it promises to re-energize the skin.
This product does feel fresh and clean when you put it on. It smells a little too manly, but I don’t really mind.
Importantly, for someone with my lifestyle, it’s packed with SPF 15 (anti-UVA/UVB).
